This past weekend was spent at the beach. A fresh breeze blew in from Lake Huron, enough to dissipate the many campfires. I saw a bald eagle in the wild for the first time ever.
I visited Port Austin, Grindstone and Port Sanilac. I remember some of those piers from my childhood, fishing with my father and brother. An absolutely beautiful area with great fishing. I walked the beach, breathing the clean air and skipping stones. I almost forgot to mention that I was topless.
I slept at a scenic turnout near Port Sanilac and watched the sun set as freighters made the journey between Michigan and Canada. There is almost no light pollution so the night was incredibly dark; the Milky Way stood out clearly.
