My new hair

After going to Port Austin for the weekend, I realized that my hair wasn’t really suited for living on the road. So I got out my trusty scissors and mixed up some henna…

It’s tough with Chemical Sensitivities, normally I’d have my hair cut by a professional but I can’t step foot in a hair salon! Did you know that wet hair can stretch up to 50% of its length? (That’s my way of saying it may be a little shorter than expected!)

With MCS I can’t tolerate the chemicals in hair color or nail polish so I’ve started to use henna instead. It’s a long process… the henna should be mixed up several days before so the colors can release. Then the henna is applied – a messy job, especially when doing it yourself. Today I decided to do my toenails, too. It feels good to be red again!
